Hey Everyone!
Hey everyone, I'm brand new here, just thought i'd drop a line and say hey. I'm 20 years old, own a 98 Dakota and love it. I live in utah, and i'm getting married in september!
I need some help though. I have stock rims and tires on my dak, but when i turn hard right or hard left, theirs this really bad rubbing sound, and it stays that way until i straighen it out. Anyone know what this is? Any help or info would be appreciated, so i can fix it! Thanks!

Welcome...this is a great forum.
Is your Dakota a 4WD? Whether it is or not I would check the ball joints first. The ones in the 4WD trucks are known to go bad and the noise when turning is one of the main indicators there is a ball joint problem. If you have to replace them use Moog ball joints so you can grease them and not have this same problem later.

welcome to the forum, congratulations, i agree it sounds like ball joints are bad. get it fixed sooner than later. i caused a lot more damage to my mazda 626 by driving it with that same sound for months. had to replace more parts $$$
Have the front suspension inspected ASAP. Good chance it is the ball joints (that is how mine was) but do not drive on it much if it brakes it can make a bad day. See the sticky on top about Upper Ball joints recall and you will see why.
