First pics of the axles.

Now I need to figure out a few things, rebuild kit which one? And gears.
Not sure on tire size yet, either 38's or 42's im thinking
Gears 5.13 or 5.38 But which brand is what I want to know and same for the rebuild kit.

One other thing I would like to know is how hard is it to replace drum brakes or to put in disk brakes instead. Currently my truck is the same setup as the axles front disk, rear drum.

The front disk brakes look like an okay condition but would it be better to just replace them or to get them redone.

Id just check that the calipers work and at least get the rotors machined. Probably a good idea to get new pads too. I seriously want to do this to my dak so keep us posted. If it can be done for relatively cheap I may start saving my pennies :)

Just out of curiosity what did the axles come from and did you know the condition before buying them? Are they still good or do they need a ton of work to be at 100%?

The axles look good the rear needs brakes. the Front and rear both work Turn by hand. No major scuffs to the axles, locking hubs in the front. 1800 for both axles, the front is the expensive one, and really hard to find around here, front was a 79 with f350 and rear was from a 250. I didn't want a d70.

I just want to check everything out. Thats what I need.

i can find you a heavy duty 4 link kit with brackets if your interested

and i can find viper disc conversion kits

hmm if you can find it with 3 inch johnny joints and I can set the angles my self all I would want is the 4 link bars. Just one less thing for me to do. looking at 50 in lowers, and 40 in uppers. But might be better to do myself. I am doing triangulated.

im also doing a triangulated 4link... odd how the same truck needs similar parts to go either up or down...lol

if you mount the bars to the inside of the frame you will need to move your gas tank
