I am wondering, since I've read here that oem replaced ball joints typically fail again. will Dodge replace with aftermarket ball joints, if I pay the difference. thanks ahead of time!

Probably not. The ball joints they replace with are revised and if installed properly, shouldn't fail(prematurly). However they will continue the warranty on them if they should fail. Later...
