Question about '02 4wd front hubs
I put some liquid wrench where the hub fits in last night so I hope that helps. I found some videos and more articles on hub/bearing removal and most include a big hammer
I just didn't want to hammer it until I was sure everything was unhooked.
Check out this video - this tool would be great - not too hard to make if you can weld.

Got the hub removed with a little persuasion but the new bearing didn't fix the noise
It still hums unless you turn slightly to the right and then it goes away. It sounds a lot like tire noise but I don't see how tire noise would go away when turning right but not left?? I had to do brakes anyway so I thought I'd try a new bearing while I was in there. Oh well, back to the drawing board...

Can anyone offer an opinion on the cause of the noise? When I turn the wheel to the right the noise goes away - would that indicate a RIGHT bearing gone bad? Or would it be the left? Maybe I changed the wrong side??
