found an "affordable" winter project and BOUGHT IT!!!
found it through a friend of a friend of a friend. its an 1908 Honda CB 450. he needed it out of his parents garage by this weekend, asked $600, i gave him $400. 
. it runs fine, trans is good. needs new brakes, of course i had to get it at 9:30 pm, on a work day, in the pouring rain, and without a ramp. WHAT A FREAKIN STROKE IT WAS TO GET THAT THING IN THE BED AAARRRGH! @!#$*%&^$#.
anyway.... runs fine, i'm gonna do a brake job and fluids change this weekend, the ride it as is for the rest of the summer. over the winter i'm gonna strip it bare, powdercoat the frame, paint the tanks and yadda yadda yadda. im thinkin of dropping it an inch or two as well. the fenders, headlighs, turn signals, all that stuff is in a box labeled "extra stuff", so i gotta put that all on before i ride.

haha, i wish it was like a 1908 indian or something. that would be sweeeeeet. naw its an 1980. my dream is to put a sidecar on it. i think that is BAD A$$.... you never see sidecars anymore.

yeah, that was the main idea. i cant deal with 9.4 MPG in the dak, i'm goin well over $100/week because of the amount of driving i do. 
i think that this is definitely a better idea than all those idiots selling they're V8's over all this gas talk and buying prius's. they are going to be regretting it so badly in few years. besides, this is one of the last few true muscle trucks and will be nice to have in 10, 20, even 30 years down the road.
