Question What in the world does this mean??? P1762 Code

So my truck got flooded about a month ago, all four tires under water, and water about 5 inches above the front bumper. So since it was a flood insurance paid, thank God. But anyways. The shop did alot of stuff and I just got it back yesterday. My problem is my truck is throwin up a check engine code of P1762 "P1762 (M) GOV Pressure Sen Offset Volts Too Low Or High The Governor Pressure Sensor input greater or less than calibration for 3 consecutive Neutral/Park calibrations.
P1762 (M) Governor Pressure Sen Offset Volts Too Low Or High Sensor input greater or less than calibration for 3 consecutive Neutral/Park occurances. (4-speed auto. Trans. Only)" They drained my transmission and cleaned the governer or somethin still not real sure, and gave me new tranny fluid. Now it wont hardly shift into second after it gets to about 4 or 5 thousand RPMs and about 35 or 40, I let off and it finally shifts. When I stop at a light and go again, its like it doesnt come out of drive, to ever go back down to 1st, just real sluggish off the start and hard to get goin bein in such a high gear. But any and all input would be appreciated to help me understand this better. Its goin back Monday to get fixed properly, especially since its free , but just wanted to know what in the heck that code meant. Thanks ahead of time..

Sounds like it fried the valve body and they need to replace it, or there is a pressure sensor on the valve body that is broken. They call it a "Governing Valve Body" I think and it is really the brains of the transmission and controls the shifts, I think. On my wife's 2000 Dakota SLT the transmission valve body broke and had those same kind of symptoms.

you can try replacing the governor... It's a sensor right there when you drop the pan.
