will i pass emissions testing with high flow cats?

does anybody know if the o1 286 needs backpressure at all cuz im thinking of removing mine cats

batman- i live in ohio too and no one i know has ever had to get an emissions test. is it different by county maybe?

i got one of them new fangled SUPER HIGH FLOW CATS!!!!
my check engine light is on...and i got it checked just to make sure that my truck dont have anythign else wrong...and all it said was "02 censor"

so all i got to say is....mines due for a full on headers, 2.5 pipe, highflows, magnapacks, h-pipe, and the same but new tips as what i already have.....true duals!!!

you'll lose all your low end, at least i did with the hi flow...finally just got it back with the superchips but it sucked ***** under 2500 for me, it might be different on an auto but with my stick it had no ***** under 2500 so i couldn't even imagine no cat even tho i'd like to do it for the sound.

I removed my cat when I had the v6 drove around like that for a bit no difference. Got a new cat, still no difference, especially with a high flow to straight pipe not one bit. But that was with a v6.

I had a high flow on the 99 dak, and when I went to sell it, I had to e-test it. well.... 6 times later and acouple hundred bucks on tune ups, I replaced the cat (cause that was the only thing left to replace lol) and it passed with flying colours. so I will never get a high flow cat again.....

colorado has no tests either. it pretty sick, i still left my stock cat on tho... keep that low end

yea, its by county, i live in lorain county, the state decided that we're dirty people so we gotta get tested, 's not too bad though
down towards the south they don't need it

well us hicks in huron county dont need no emissions test, we're mostly farmers with a few city folk.
