"MIL" Problems/Codes
I need a little help here... I know that you can do a system check to see if all the gauges/lights work on your dash board by holding in the odom/trip pin and turning the key to the on position. I heard that if your "MIL" (check engine) light stays on when you're driving... there is a similar 'system check' you can do to get a certain code that can be entered on a website to reveal the cause of the "MIL" light staying on. Is this true and if so, does anyone know what to to to get the P/C or code? perhaps I am just hearing things....
I just saw the code list, just curious how to bring that certain special number up. thanks in advance
ok, its been a few days, and no luck as of yet. i'm sure someone out there knows how to get the odometer to display a p/c code!? please help

This is for a 99. I've never tried it so I can't say it works on a 99, let alone your 2002 but you can try it.
This is one continuous test
1. Ignition switch off
2. Press and hold the trip reset ****
3. Turn the ignition switch to on but do not start.
4. Hold the reset **** for approx 10 seconds or until the word CHEC appears in the display then release.
