Default exhaust hanger question

maybe this will sound dumb but i was curious if anyone here has used this type of exhaust hanger

im putting on a dual exhaust with a magnaflow and im just wondering if maybe the hanger clips into the clamp or something

also where does this hanger attach to? the body?

yeah ive used one, if you buy the magnaflow kit, you dont need that universal hanger, but the way they work is the hooked end is held on by a regular exhaust clam attached to the pipe. the end with the holes is used to be bolted up to the frame rail.

yeah i have used them but they blow. i just landed up getting some 3/8" rod and welding up some of my own hangers wherever i needed them. much stronger.

yes i have used used them, its a good hanger. some times its hard to know where to cut it or bend it. and you most likely will have to cut some off. be sure and use anti-sieze compound on all the bolt threads. and on the clamps. do NOT use cad plated bolts on ext systems, the heat makes the plating come off and jam the threads

not at all. i got the 18 inch magnaflow on mine and get complements all the time about it. people think i got a v8 under the hood cause it gives off a deep drone
