Default Towing question

My friend and I are doing a VR6 swap in his 92 jetta and to get it to his work where we'll be doing the work I'll be borrowing my friends tow dolly. I looked under my truck and only have the stock tow package so I think its the 7 pin thing. The tow dolly uses a 4 plug flat plug and I don't have that when I looked. I'd go look but I'm not near my truck right now so can someone tell me if this will work. I'm almost 100% sure just wanna check. Thanks http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Trail...mZ260302064168

yeah it would probably be easier to just go to auto zone or advanced auto parts. but yeah it will work if you get the correct adaptor.

make sure you put towing mode on that tuner, more torque the better bud.

ha yeah i know...and tow mode actually only gives you like 2 or 3 more lbs of torque and cuts the horsepower in half its main purpose is to knock back the timing and stuff so that it doesn't ping under load so i'll def make sure to change it to tow mode when i do tow

cut back the horse power? where the hell is the fun in that?.. that's giving it a light duty diesel horsepower to torque ratio. generally the horsepower is near half of the torque output. on the heavy duty tractors, the cummins isx puts out something like 600 ponies, yet 2000 foot pounds of torque, it's ridiculous.

I am no expert but i am pretty sure that is due to the gearing and the compression that those huge a@@ engines make. Good luck with the towing.

i towed this same car for about a half mile when we took it for a test drive and it took a ****, that was with a tow strap and then i towed my friends tough truck aka big nasty (V8 buick) with this dolly once before without any brake lights or anything but it was only 2 miles on back roads so this time its gonna be like 20-25 miles so i wanna have the lights and **** hooked up
