I put autolite 3923s as suggested here by many and also changed my plug wires, rotor and dist cap on my 2001 with a 3.9l. Now when I stop I sometimes catch a wiff of gas.

 

id make sure you torqued down those spark plugs, 30 ft-lbs torque. how does it run?

 

hmm i got the same thing last time i was home and had the same thing but it was while moving i havnt done anything to it since like july when i did plugs dont know what my rents did to it hmmmmm im gonna have to look into that when i go home for thanksgiving

 

Hell it runs great and I don't have a strong gas odor all the time, just when I have been driving slow and stop at a stop sign or something similar. I did put a bottle of Gumout Regane fuel injector cleaner in the tank last time I filled up. Is that a possiable reason for the smell?

30 ft lbs? i just tighten till the gasket crushes stop there. done it to 150 mph hemis in the 60s, seams to be enough.
