have you ever looked at the engine? there are no plug wires... its distributor-less. the 45rfe doesnt have bands that can be adjusted either.

I have a 2000 Dodge Dakota regular cab with the 4x2, 4.7l V8, 3.92 LS with the rare 5 speed NV3500 tranny that has like less than 15k on the odometer, and I've been the only owner. There are no scratches, no dents, and I've never really pushed the truck at all. It's my baby. I keep it stored all winter in my heated poll barn where I have it up on jack stands. In fact, it has never been in the snow/salt/ice... just rain a few times and of course my garden hose.

I love this truck and I'd never give it up!
