Exclamation No Power windows, need help

Had a problem with my power window switch for about a week, sometimes it would work other times not at all. Well as luck would have it my driver's side window was busted out, now i have no power windows on both sides. I have power locks to unlock but not to lock. I replaced the switch on the driver's side and still have nothing. Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Dan

The problem with the door locks may be in the Central Timer Module. If it is bad it has to be replaced and programmed at the dealer. The windows could also be in the CTM, but it may be more likely the window regulators are bad. It's a common problem on Chyslers and Dodges.

Yeah my passenger window will work 10% of the time on my 01 3.9 dak. It seems to be a common problem with the Dodge as Silver said.

You can get the parts yourself. A glass shop should be able to sell you a new window, they may install it for an extra charge, but it's not hard to put in a new window yourself. Once you remove the door panel and moisture barrier, the window is either bolted or clipped into the window regulator channel. Remove the seals from the window openeing at the top edge of the door so you can work the new window into the door cavity and line it up in the window tracks and bolt it back to the regulator. Be sure to use a shop vac and get all the old glass out of the bottom of the door. If you need new window regulators, they are held in with 5 or 6 nuts then just pull it out of the door cavity while either a friend holds up the window or you can duct tape it in place. Then work the new regulator into the door cavity thru the large opening in the door surface and bolt it all back in place, plug in the motor, lower the window into place and tighten everything back down.

Window regulator is probably about $100 to maybe $125 at the dealer, junk yard may be less but junk yard parts could break again soon. I have no idea how much for a new window. CTM is probably a $300 job at the dealer, including the part. Those are just guesses. Yours may be more or less money. But you can save money on the window and regulators by doing the work yourself. If you have a few basic tools and a good mechanical aptitude and the patience for the job, it's not hard at all. The dealer has to do the CTM because you have to use the dealer DRB-3 tool to program the new CTM to the truck.
