Default Price quote for ball joints and bushings

My truck has been squeaking when I drive over bumps or hit pot holes. I recently took my truck to the shop, and they told me that I need to replace my upper and lower ball joints and also the bushings. Iwas quoted $970 for parts and labor. Is this a fair price?

Dude, Don't you think it's kind of important to let people know some info about your truck? Like for starters, it would be nice to know if it is 2 or 4 wheel drive! Post some info and maybe some one will answer.

I went to Rockauto.com and found MOOG upper ball joints for $54.79/ea. and lower ball joints for $45.79/ea. What bushings do i need to buy to complete the job?

check the ball joint recall first go to owners on the dodge.com site and type in the last 8 digits of your vin and it will tell you if its been done or not yet. it could also be the sway bar bushings mine are doing that right now, i dont think the ball joints have bushings so he must be talking about either the sway bar or control arm bushings need done. the moog ball joints are the best as they are greasable unlike the stock non greasable ones so i would definitaly go for those. i got my inspection fog light bulbs and right side ball joints done for $400 so almost a grand sounds a little high.
