I know how you feel though. a couple years ago I saw a guy with 2 engines sitting in his front yard with a for sale sign in front of them. so I stopped and looked and sure enough one of them was a chrysler small block, with nothing other than the block and rotating assembly with no oil pan. no heads, intake etc. the guy came out and said it was a 360 block that came out of an old D100 or something and I could have it 100$. I told him I was gonna go to the bank real quick and get some cash then come right back. When I got back it was gone. He said some other guy stopped like 10 seconds after I left and gave him 200$ for it. Basically, the guy crapped, pissed, and nutted right on my soul, then spit and stomped on it. thats just the way my life goes. theres been times when Ive seen stuff for sale at a really good price, but whenever I see a really good deal I never have any money. In fact, I think the only thing Ive bought for my truck that I consider a good deal is the v8 TB I bought from user for 35$. A while ago someone on this forum sold a pair of clear corners for like 20$, but at that time I didnt even have 20$.

That sucks, i think he just found out that the m-1 is worh about 300-400$ and he is going to repost it up for sale in about 1 month or so for that price. Sucks. I would have went to his house and slapped his ***...

as for good deals poping up and hearing everyone elses storys about the block and this m-1..

i found a set of 2.02 R/T Heads (not made anymore rare as hell and worth alot) for sale for 500$ local!!!! no shipping.. while i was going to his house another guy from my Dakota Club bought them before i did... and he was in a rush for the money so first come got them.. i was SOOO pissed..

but then i found a NX kit for 280$ on craigs so i bought that lol...

also to answer the questions about the 2bbl adapter and clearence issues and the ERG..

1. The 4bbl is cut shorter then the 2bbl m-1, so the adapater pretty much doesn't raise anything, the 2bbl m-1 is about the same height as the 4bbl with a 2bbl adapter...

2. EGR you use that hole and plug it with a turtle, thats what the turtles are for.. and you can find them on dd.com from somone that builds them from scrap useally billet or somthing like that.
