Default air bag light/ switch

did anybody have problems with their pass. side air bag switch. everything started when i change my factory radio. i forgot to plug back in the air bag switch when i change the radio and i started the truck. well you all know what happen next, the air bag light went on. i didn't get a chance to get it clear till a month later. when they scan it, it read something like a bad ground or grounded wire. we try to clear it but it wouldn't let us do it because the problem was still there. they told me that they thick the air bag switch is bad that is why it is causing a ground. when we turn it on or off the light does not come on the switch. but they are not 100% sure. i was wondering you guys would know if i did something wrong when i change the radio? the radio works. is this really a switch that went bad when i touched it. i haven't gone out to check to see how much this piece will cost but i think it will be allot since i have to go to the dealer. i just don't have money to throw around if this is not the problem. thanks and sorry this was so long

yeah, could possibly be though you yanked a wire loose somewhere in the harness during the install.

Now that youve fixed the issue that caused the light to trigger, you will most likely have to have the SRS system reset at the dealer.

my friend has the scanner to reset it. the problem is the code is still there. it would not clear because the problem did not get fix. would the bulb being blown cause a ground fault? he said that we have to start at what we know is bad which is the switch.
