Hi,
My dad has a dakota that is a 2002 if memory serves me correctly. The problem is that in the last 60,000 miles he has put 3 wheel bearings on the right front side. Now tonight he came home and told me that he needs another one! This is killing me to see him pay someone to fix it when it costs so much. Does anyone know of this being a problem with other dakotas? What is usually the cause?

Does he like to hit curbs or park up on a curb with that tire. Its pretty common that the right front goes out. Also what does he/they replace it with?

 

is it a 4x4 or 2wd? sounds to me, if hes brining that truck to the same guy doing the wheel bearings, sounds like that mechanic is doing not so hot of a job.
