but i agree, the vw motor will not have much guts to move a dakota, and the 4bts are easier to find and install

i was under the influence that he was gonna do a more moddern VW engien swap

dak conversions are not super rare... but i dont think anybody on here has done it

yeah i like the 4bt cummins a lot better but ive heard of a lot of the v dub swaps.

where would i get the bell housing at just anywhere like oreillys or somewhere special.

Which VWs? As far back as '79 all the VW diesels I know of are all FWD - in fact, with the exception of the Beetles built in Mexico, any VW going back that far is FWD, be it Golf, Jetta, Rabbit, GTi, Scirocco, Corrado, or that pickup they used to make.
