I have a whining Noise that sounds like the four-wheel drive is engaged
when in 2H. I have taken the transfer case out and had it checked.
It was OK, then I replaced all bearings & seals in the differential.
There was a wheel bearing bad. Had thought that the pinion bearing was bad. It did not seem to be but since I had it apart I replaced them all.
The noise is still there. I gets louder the faster you but lets when you let of the gas.
This all started a couple a weeks ago when I used the four drive on an icey morning.
Any ideas as what to check next??
