Default $1,265.00 front end work!

haha! yeah...it was all covered under warranty (thank God!). I have less than 1000 miles left under the warranty, so I figured I better finally take her in...

Upper and lower ball joints (both side), rack and pinion rebuild, rebuilt both hubs, and swaybar bushings, and alignment. Had them go ahead and balance and rotate while they were at it.

Picked her up from the shop last night, and heard a rubbing noise. Took it right back to the shop suspecting the backer plate on the drivers side was rubbin the rotor. Turned out, that's what it was.

Other than that...they did an excellent job. She feels nice and tight again.

Man....good for you!!! That would have been some serious cash out of the pocket had it not been for the warranty.

On 2001 Dakotas, there was a safety bulletin that fixed the ball-joints for free through the manufacture.

Did this same safety bulletin apply to 2003's as well???

haha yep....nice and tight...just like I like her.

yeah..im taking it in next week to have them look at the transmission. I think the throwout bearing is going out. Started making noise last week. But I have already talked to the warranty people, and they are going to cover it too! AND- my brother used to be into transmission work, and he says take it to the dealer becuase they wont want to mess with it, and will just replace the whole damn thing. That would be ****!
