I have a 2000 dakota 3.9 v6 5spd 4x4 and it just does not rev worth a damn. I do not even use the clutch anymore cause when i pop it out of one gear i just push slightly on the next higher gear and it idles down sooo slowly that it never misses the sychronous speed to just fall into gear.. It is just so annoying cause you hit the brakes and clutch for anything and you will be stopped and its still idling down. ever so slowly.. What the hell is causing it!

 

haha thats a 3.9 for ya! jk jk, check the throttle cable it has to go under this little plastic piece on the TB before it hits the actuall end. idk, its hard to explain, if i have time after work i will grab a pic for ya.

 

get a lighter flywheel? my 4.7 revs down very slowly too it took me some gettin used to, but there could be something wrong i guess
