hey fellow dakota guys could this swap be done its a 2004 dakota with a 3.7 got a 2001 5.9rt donor truck

 

anything is possible with time and money. last year the 5.9 was in was 03. youre going to need the donor transmission as well as the engine, complete harness, all the computers. and if your 04 is a 4x4, well. youre gonna need a 46re (or 42re in varsis case) with the transfer case tail shaft adapter unless you can find the necessary parts to do that swap.. then driveshaft(s, if 4x4). you may get away with the current axle(s).

 

Like he said any swap can be done with enough time and money...

I'm just not sure how different the motor mounts are. You might need to fab up some new ones.
