actually i think the 4cyl gets roughly the same mileage as the V6 which gets roughly the same mileage as the 4.7 V8... its kinda sad but they all do pretty poorly..

so now we wait on bat to chime in on what he's getting. plus rt has a 5.9 which is a thirsty sob

ya rt says that his truck gets UNDER 10mpg or something like that

was the 360 EVER really good on mileage? Even the old wedge i dont think ever did that great.

Our hemi is pulling in the 18-22 bracket, all highway. non MDS.

i get about 16, well before the swap. id say 16-17. But someone that is hill driving which eats a LOT the flat doesn't eat anything. Uphill burns twice as much as flat. I can drive like 200 km, on a quarter, and 100 km up hill on the same amount of gas if not less

yeah, with sandbags in the winter i got 8.1 and in the summer i get 9.9 MPG. keep in mind i do 99% city stop and go traffic and i cant keep my foot out of it. ever.

hey rtdakota2001, is there any links on this forum showing you how to go with the old school breather? i like! hood is gonna look awesome, there was a red rt running around here with that hood, looked mean! thanks

I'm willing to bet I could probably find a carburetor that had the same (or modifyably same) openging diameter as the TB. Then makea custom hat to link into the inlets on the hood.

I'm 100% sure the quadrajet had alot bigger opening, but maye the older 2 barrel carbs had a better opening since that's basically what the TB is.

bingo.

that air intake was $35 bucks as a local part store it said it was for chevy small block carburetors. you just gotta make it work. i rally wasn't that hard. i just need to get a real filter, but i'll worry bout that later.
