Default How can i make my truck louder?

Okay i have a 1999 dakota 5.2, And for my exhaust i have 2half inch stright pipe all the way back with no cat or muff. And my question is how can i make it louder with out running true dool, or side pipes. And still make it sound good. Would it make it any louder if i built a y pipe and ran 2inch dools back? I just dont no what to do, any suggestions would be great thanks.

Maybe try shortening up the straight pipe.
It has got to be pretty loud already, right?

But to awnser the original question if you're still wondering. It doesn't really get any louder than no cats or muffler other than straight headers and thats it...

there IS another way to make it louder.....coming from a guy that has the best screen name for this thread

try doing transitions of different sizes of pipes.....

example: start out off the manifold with 2.5" dia. then weld on 2" dia. then back to 2.5"....so on and so forth...this will make the truck cackle more and have more of a rumble coasting from higher RPMs.....

whats your current set up now? duals? single pipe? Y-pipe?

somebody's full of themselves

regardless, if you want loud (and deep) you might do what loud suggests but go progressively bigger... the bigger the pipe the lower and deeper the sound will be...
