TCM P0700 hell Thought I'd share my experience
Ok so over a month ago I went to the car wash and when I got out my trans was only staying in third gear. After a few hours it went back to normal. Fast forward a week later. I go through a car wash (a do it your self wash) I DIDN"T SPRAY UNDER THE HOOD. Well this time all hell breaks loose. Won't shift for about a week. It will shift engine light goes out then the problem comes back. I run the code P0700 code ( Bad TCM atleast I thought) I go to the junkyard grab another TCM and throw it in. It doesnt work. Great So I bring it to Dodge. "sir we'd like to do a trans flush, a transfer case flush, a new solynoid in the trans, that will be $1500" yeah right like i'm going to do that for a 6k truck. Anyway I go to AAMCO they check the wiring to the computer its fine but still has the low voltage reading. So they say the 2nd and 1st TCM are bad and they put a new one in. Still the same problem. The problem seemed to come on when I turned on the air. They inspect the air conditioning system re check every wire and then say its the engine computer. I think this is the case because another shop told me the same thing. It was only 800 bucks for a new TCM and a new engine computer plus all the test. I go to pick it up tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.
Bottom line. Have everything checked before you replace your tcm cause that might not be the case. Hope this thread helps someone

after reading your post i was wondering if there is anything around the front passenger side underhood of the truck that can get messup with water? something with washing and air condition got me thinking. is there a plug or a senscer in that area?
the pcm is right there
UPDATE
Ok, Well it turns out the wires under the driver side floor board melted and arched together causing too much voltage to the engine computer. Hope this helps atleast one person. Cost me 1400 bucks to figure it out.
