Just got a 02 dakota quadcab nice truck my first dodge, had to change the steering rod cvs from col to rack but not the problem. I notice the oil gauge was droping at idle to 1/4 line on dash and higher as I gased it so I changed to oil and put a qt of lucas oil in her now Iam getting a high reading when shes cold, after it warms up shell drop to center and as I push the gas she rises to 3/4 line. Is this nomal operation for this truck? Its got 150000 on clock. I also put a new sending unit in from dodge.

 

yeah, both previous and current instances are normal.
