Ill would also check the brake hose when I first got my truck (98 dakota 4x4) after about a a 20mile drive I could smell hot brakes and didnt know what to do so I asked my uncle(has only ever owned dodges) and he told me that some have the problem with the brake line closing shut after the brake fluid gets hot so a new brake line later and my brakes never did it again.
