take advice from teh only guy on here that has a DD with 195,000 miles plus on his truck(everything all stock)

id look for a 1999 to a 2004 dakota quad cab with teh 4.7L under 120K....there pretty tough engine that take alot of abuse.....but if you ever think about upgradeing and doin some serious mods to the 4.7L...you gonna be spending some bank!!!

I don't know a whole lot about the 06-07's, but you can not beat the look of the 2nd gen dak, interior is really nice in my opinion for a truck. Simple yet very sharp looking. I think the 4.7 that is in those is the same as 2nd gen so that should last, but not sure about the suspension and what not. Go for a 2nd gen. There a sexy truck

No mods so to speak, just want a daily driver. maybe an intake and exhaust but that would be about it. Just want a reliable truck that I will have for a few years.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

the only reason i would go for the 06-07 is because they had more power than the 00-04s.

I think that'd be a good choice.

Ah. I was using the DF count- splits at 96 and 04. Didn't know there was another before that.
