CD player

I have a 2001 Dakota. The CD player does not work. I get an ERR message on the display when I try to play a CD. Any ideas / help?

i have a 2000 dodge dakota sport 4x4 and mine only plays burned cds.. not originals.. strange huh?

best bet is just to put in an aftermarket deck.. otherwise try a cleaner cd
