wow thats risky... also how did you know it was exactly 138? considering our speedometers die at 120... (or did you just do the math on it?)
138 was the limit when i had the hypertech, when you hit the governor it shuts off the fuel to keep it from going any faster... thats how i KNOW my truck can at least go 138... and not with the Mopar PCM, it doesn;t have a limit, so my guess is about 148-150, since i raced a bike before and my friends mustang read up to 140 and i was pulling away, i need to hook up a OBDII Scanner or Snap on or somthing and really see. im Sure its close to the 145 range... since i can hit 138 easily..
now i just need to figure out how to get up to 199-200mph and call it a day!
I actually got to 110-115 in my 3.9. That was sketchyyyyy because its not low to the ground so I barely touched the brake and they locked up because all the air pushing underneath. Iv done like 124 or something like that when the gov. kicks in in my moms volvo s60. That things gets to 100 pretty easy and not too much harder to get to 120.
When i did my 95+ MPH stunt (bouncing off speed limiter @ 4000 RPM), i went from 95 back down to 65 for a curve within 1/8 mile. Had alot of brake shudder (i pulse modulated the brakes to help keep the wheel straight), but no lockup or anything.

you know, it'd be alot easier to just latch up to a dynojet and run it out the back door?

don't we all
I hope to get my BMW M5 (which i plan on getting when i graduate) up to that area when its speed limiter is taken off but wouldn't even dare getting that close with my truck, the death wobble and the tires not being rated high enough is scary enough!
