i noticed that the 97-00 front bumpers are 2 piece, and 01-04 are one piece, i have an 04 sxt and was wondering if i could use a chrome/black 2 piece off an slt? are all the brackets the same fitment wise? thanks guys

 

the 01-04 fronts are actually bumper covers, whereas the pre 01 trucks have an upper steel bumper and a lower plastic valance

and i dont think they will bolt right up, somebody on here had a problem recently,
he did get it on i guess but needed modded somehow

 

IF you have fogs, AND the new bumper has working fogs, you're fine.

If neither have fogs, it bolts straight on.

IF (this is what my case was) the new bumper has a hacked up fog light system (one was stock, other was aftermarket), you have to use YOUR brackets for YOUR lights and maske them fit the new bumper.

Well take a look at my bumper(98 slt) do your brackets look the same. Also I put the 2 brackets on wrong(its was 11 at night and i allready put all the tools away so didnt feel like changing them) but the left side should make a L and the right side should make a backwards L (go around the fogs and point in towards the middle of the bumper
