Performance Chip
I have a 2003 Dakota with 3.9 V-6 I bought a mindblower performance chip for it and I can't find the IAT sensor that they tell me it needs hooked into. They say it might be a MAT sensor, but their pictures show it in the air intake. My truck has nothing in the air intake from the snorkle that hooks to the inner fender to the throttle body that I can find. Does Dodge put the IAT sensor somewhere else or what?

Dodge puts the IAT in the intake manifold. Look on the passenger side toward the front. It will be somewhere under the throttle cable bracket...

the above diagram will work.
You also know that all that little diod does is trick the computer into thinking the air is colder outside then it actually is, making your truck run rich, creating more HP but less torque.
It might also work for about 6 months till the PCM reads around it...
hope you didn't pay much for it. Cuz you can make this little gimmick at home for less then .50 cents.

Yeh I know all that it does is tricks the computer into changing the air/Fuel ratio. But it came in this really cool little black plastic box and had some cute graghics on it. So I thought what the heck I will try it and see if maybe I could queeze a little more fuel mileage outa it. Thanks for the pics on where the IAT is located. It was right where you said it was and if it doesn't work I can remove it without ever knowing it was there. Thanks again. Who makes greaseable ball joints for a two wheel drive. I noticed they are rivited on.
