Default a/c issues and ive searched

I have 2000 qc with the 4.7. in summer of 07 i replaced my compressor with a used one and i recharged the system and the ac worked great for that summer. when it got warm the next year i turned the ac on and it wasnt cold. i tested the pressure and it was in the full range. the thing is is the compressor comes on for about 3-4 seconds then shuts off for about 15-20 seconds then comes on again for the 3-4 seconds. it does this constantly. when i replaced the compressor i also did the accumilator and that little filter thing. also none of the ac lines get cold at all. i sat in the driveway with it running for probably 20 minutes. it was on the low side of the safe range on the gauge so i put more frion in but nothing changed besides the gauge went up a little.

The only thing i can think of is the condensor is either bad or plugged. how would i go about testing this or what other ideas are there?

My bet is the 3-dollar in-line filter again.
My compressor failed and sent crud all thru the lines
I took them apart, ran brake-clean thru all the lines and,
STILL had to change out that filter and re-charge the system
three times to get a good temp. The first time it only lasted
one day before it blew warm. Don't try to clean that filter,
replace it with a new one.

You might have a plugged evap core, or condensor. it might be the orifice tube which is located right near the right front headlight (on my dak atleast) its found with the little crimp marks on the ac line. when you replaced the compressor i am assuming you filled everything back up with oil. To get a true test of your a/c performance you really need to have either like a big barn fan in front of your truck or drive it around to really blow the air across the condensor bc the fans alone dont really pull it through there well enough when it is sitting still. hope this helps. good luck.

did you flush the system out when you replaced the compressor? many times if you dont it will cause the compressor to become clogged again and quit. you may get lucky if you try to flush it out now...maybe.
