Default Please help!!!!!

okay today i got some bad gas..i have a 2002 dodge dakota 4 x 4 4.7 engine...well i drained the gas (full tank) and put new gas in it and it starts sometimes for like 30 sec.and the then sometimes it won't at all! PLEASE help me...the guy at the shop said to drain the bad gas and put new gas in it and all should be good but HE WAS WRONG...Please anyone knows help me..I can hear the fuel pump come on when I turn the key..it just won't start all the time and when it does it only runs for like 30 or 40 sec then cuts off!! HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

how do you know it was bad gas?

Check your fuel filter. It may be plugged. Or getting plugged.

fuel filter is part of the fuel pump assembly... get a pressure gauge and check the pressure at the rail, theres a testing port on the rail. when running do you have your foot into the throttle?

thanks to everyone who replied but we got it fixed!!!! there was still water in the gas tank (alot) got it drained out and cleaned the tank real good and its up and running again!!!
