I never have this problem. Just the other day I used my spare with the alarm set and the alarm did not go off.

There should be a black wire with an orange stripe in the driver's kick panel. If you ground this wire, the factory alarm will be disarmed, until you remove the wire from ground.

There should be directions in the owner's manual to explain how to use the keyless entry remote to lock and unlock the doors without setting or triggering the factory alarm. If that's not possible, you could also wire a relay from the door switch to ground the black/orange wire when the door is closed. The door switch wire is yellow, and can be found behind the fuse box. It's a ground when the door is opened, and rests at 12 volts when the door is closed. Terminal 86 on the relay would connect to the yellow door switch wire, terminals 85 and 87 would go to ground and terminal 30 would go to the black/orange alarm disarm wire.

Don't have a manual. Thanks for the grounding info though.

I am having this same issue. When the doors are locked and I use my key to unlock the drivers door it will set off the alarm.

I am also having issues setting the auto door locking mechanism. I am unable to set the door auto lock to stop locking when rolling. I follow the steps in manual but it resets itself upon next vehicle start.
