Default dakota will start sometimes, idle sometimes, and randomly cut out

alright, im 16 and new to this site, so bare with me here

anyways, my 98 dakota, v6 will rarely start, and when it does it wont idle, except occasionally. every once in a while i can get it running and i'll start driving and it will randomly stall when im doing freeway speeds. any ideas? i am totally lost and the rbd2 doesn't say anything.
to get it started i sometimes have to put on the gas but even with a high rpm it will still stall out. ive changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and coil so it should be getting a spark, but it seems to be losing a spark which is killing it

please help! any suggestions?
thanks, danny

do you have any idea where that solenoid is or how much it would cost?

i don't see the IAC doing this. Have you checked the spark with a test light? If it Dies with the spark off than your problem is there, next check the fuel pressure. See if it drops.

hey says it wont idle, but will once in awhile it will. that would be my first spot to check for idle issues.

alright
i replaced the iac solenoid and that did it
it started right up and i went through and cleaned the throttle body. after running it and it seemed fine, i went in for a while and came back to the car and it wouldn't start. i checked for a spark and at first i didnt get anything but after a while it seemed just fine
any ideas as to why im getting a spark sometimes and not at other times?

thanks, danny
