Default Fan clutch nut

I have a 2001 dakota with the 3.9L with ac. I have read all the posts here about removing the fan clutch nut, and 90% of the stuff ends up talking about electric fans and how much better they are. I need help on removing the 36mm nut on a mechanical fan, without this turning into a electrical fan discussion please. I rented the tool from autozone, but it is worthless being as the water pump pulley doesnt have bolts on it. I have tried seafoam ( I think thats what its called ) on it to loosen it up and tried the channel locks and hammer trick, and the tension on the belt does nothing, the pulley still moves. Any other advice out there that will help? Also the threads on here say turn it counter-clock wise being its a left thread nut, the hayes book says turn it counter clock wise being as it is a right thread nut, which is it and is it counter clock wise looking at it or the direction of the engine? Thank you in advance for any and all help!

For our Silverado, we had the get the water pump and fan off. Then we locked the water pump up in the vice and got the nut with a monkey wrench. I forget details, but thats how we did it.

When I pulled mine off, I stuck two bolts in the pulley (if it's like mine, there should be 4 holes). I know they won't thread in, but slide a bolt into 2 of the holes and put a long flat head screwdriver or small prybar in between them to hold the pulley still.

use pb blaster to loosen the bolts.. not seafoam, this stuff goes into the engine to clean out the carbon build up
