Default 5.2 v8 hp?

Hey, i know the 5.2 V8 is rated at 230 HP and 280 ft.lbs of torque, what do you all think mine would be with K&N intake, Headers, and a Dynomax exhaust?

with all that, i would guess somewhere in the 15-20hp range. could be less than that but thats what i would say is a safe estimate.

Depends on headers, and if your talking cat back exhuast instead of a real exhuast system, 20hp is probably a high guess...

With a complete stock motor and a set of headers mid-long tubes is about 7-13hp, shorties are pointless, about 5hp, stock exhuast with a cat back.. your lucky to gain anything, besides a better sound... Cold air intake, maybe 1hp, i would go with an open element intake, like a procomp or mopar 2-4in filter. I got the 14" Pro Comp Open with a 4in K&N Filter, less restrictions better flow, Mid Length Mopar PPHs with a high flow cat and 3in dumped exhuast.

I thought the open elements were not as good because they sucked in all hot air? The cai actually gets cooler outside air.

they are long tube headers, and there still are cats in the system, so probably not too much performance there. And also, cold air intakes are not thaaat great, some of them still suck the hot air, a snorkle is where its at for cold air, plus its a snorkel
