Volant is overpriced junk...

Stick with something simple... either an open element, K&N FIPK, or make an homemade one from parts at your local hardware store.

Does you ram air hood work the the FIPK kit?

you can make it work with it, but the hood it meant to work with the stock airbox, it has a tube that goes down and rams the air into it.

Right now i dont have a CAI i have the old muscle style open element top filter...

i plan on getting a SRT Style Ram Air Hood sooner or later, right now its just for looks, but it is funtional (just not with my setup) but the air does keep the bay cooler.

here is a pic of the filter i use...

its a 14" with a 4" K&N Filter. Its huge...
