Default replacing OS sensor DIY

OK.
for a 97 Dak with 318 there are two sensors. 1 behind the cat, one in front of it just aft of where the two banks join.

Access from the right side (passenger side) and it helps if that side of the car is jacked up (witrh jack strands!!) so the tires are off the gound. More room for you is Good!@

There are two kinds odf replacement 02 sensors. One kind has the factotry wiring nad a special plug with it, and it plugs into the factory plug Which in tha case of the 977 318 is tucked a bo=it out of normal view. Or use a cut in sensor with 4 wires and splice them in to the gharness.

DO NOT CUT THE wires on the replacement sensor. You will need the extra length when under the car and triyng to do a good crimp.

( i just cut the wires on the sensor short and could not put then in the harness,.,,sio i pullled it, soldered the cut0-off wires into place and shrink wrapped the connnection, and with the longer wires it waa piece of freakign cake!!!)
