Default Steering wheel feedback?

I have a 03 Dak Quad 4x4 MT v6. It has 95,000 miles on it and runs great, the only problem is that I get a strange feel in the steering wheel. It gives you the feeling like it is loose or you could shake it a little in the column but you can't. I feel it on uneven surfaces and somtimes when I turn. What should I be looking at? I have had this truck about 6 months and it just started this about 2 months ago. I checked to see if it was valid for the recall on the front end camaign but it was not. Any help from the wise ones would be appreciated. Thanks

Does it do it all the time? or just sometimes?. My friends 98 dak would randomly shake when driving turned out to be the cv joint.

Does it every time I drive it. It's not a shake just a feel of a knock, I guess. I'm having a tough time trying to describe it I guess. I'm just trying to figuire out what I need to consider replacing..??

Check your ball joints and Tierod ends.. Also, check your U-joint on your steering column. You could also check you bushings.

Pull off the front tires and then grab your front axle and wiggle it as well. If its loose, that may be it.
