Well if itll fit I just might! I had no clue that the diesels were so pricey for the motor alone. Now I need to think about what motor to go with. Id still like a cummins but we will see. I also need the torque that the 4bt makes. It still might have more grunt than it appears. Or maybe can have more grunt with some mods!

similar to hte 2.5 and 4.0 motors

the 4bt and 6bt (which is the 5.9 with no electronics are the same block)
so anything you can get for the 6bt (which has plenty of aftermarket support) will fit, you'll just always have extra parts
stuff like pistons,firerings,valves/valvesprings.....
i do belive that an aftermarket head will bolt on but you'd need to get a machine shop to lop off the back 2 and TIG any coolant lines

it would be sick if you could do it... if not, maybe try a 5.7 hemi swap? sure you ahve to fab motor mounts and get a new tranny but it would be rather rare...

i've seen the 5.7 swap done, in a 3" bodydropped on 22"s dakota no less....

the 6.1 would be more rare

lol Id rather keep it simple and rock the 5.9 magnum or do the cummins. Well thanks for that tidbit batty, i think im gonna hunt down the number for both those cummins. Im curious bout the torque output on them

I got time to think bout it, I still have a decent list to get to the point of looking at the motor issues! Plus I got a few small things to get/do before i get the ball rolling down this road!
