I bought a cold air intake on ebay just now. I was wondering if anyone out there has a throttle body spacer? and if they do anything? my brother had one on his hemi and it use to whistle. i love that whistle, he hated it and got rid of it..but do they actualy increase horsepower? please let me know..thanks

 

no, TB spacers do nothing. that being said, i need one, lol, to get going on my functional ram air box.

 

No, not on you truck. i found this out after i installed one on my 5.2, the only way it would help anything is if you had a TB with the injector in it.

basically it is supposed to be mixing the air and fuel better and if the fuel doesnt enter the systems until after the TB, the spacer is useless.

loudpedal where did u get ur tb spacer?, i want a supercharger like sound so bad, used to have it on my dak b4 i put my exhaust on, but it is so loud it just drains it out, im kinda bummed about that. ill prolly get a CAI off ebay and if the tb spacer makes that sound ill get one

 

so it would work if you had a late model injector/intake? My '95 has the injector right in the TB instead of injected in the manifold.

 

The '95 3.9 and 5.2 are both multiport injection, not throttle body injection. I'm not sure what the 2.5 is. Throttle body spacers do nothing on the magnum engines (92+), it would do better as a paperweight.

 

ohh, well i guess you learn something everyday lol. It looks like sthe injector is in the TB. Its a Holley too haha you guys got awesome smiley's on here. Other forums got NOTHING on your smileys! lol

 

i love the super charger sound tho..if your looking for the whistle i would get one..im not going to buy one im just going to wait till we get a trade in at work with one on it=] and then ill say it was missing =]
