i replaced the clutch and bearing in my old mustang a long time ago, but never done a dak. in general you disconnect any wiring and linkage from the trans, remove drive shaft, remove transmission. disconnect clutch linkage. while you're there - remove clutch parts including throwout bearing, pressure plate, and clutch disc. check flywheel for smoothness and no cracks. if needed, remove flywheel and take it to a machine shop for resurface. while your there - check for any freeze plugs on the back of the block on 5.2/5.9. replace them. reassemble with new pressure plate, clutch disk, throwout bearing, pilot bushing if it has one.
