Default 2wd tire question, again!

stock 2wd 2002. i have 255/55/16 which are completly bald. my cousin has a set of 255/70/16 off his silverado that hes going to give me, just tires. will they fit? a lil rub wont kill me
255/55 = 27 compared to 255/70 = 30

i know i should of searched, but that stresses me out if i cant find it

Should. I had 255/65 16's on my 2wd when I had it. And they weren't even close to rubbing. I pretty sure 70s will fit fine.

I had a 31/10.50/15 on a 98 two wheel drive with no rubbing at all. Same size as a 265/70/16 so they should fit and then some

If your suspension is stock you'll be fine. Your speedo might be off a mph or two.

Your speedo will be off 6.9 MPH. At 60 MPH You will actually be doing 66.9 MPH.

For future reference here is the tire size calculator. However it only has P-Metric Sizes.

Good post regarding his mph difference.
A superchips tuner can fix this. SCT has the function, yet at the moment it doesn't function. Expect this to be an update very soon.
