Default ABS & Brake lit

I am driving Dodge Dakota Sport, 1999 2.5 L manual
The ABS and Brake light continuously lit and speedometer not working. While driving the manual shift indicator at panel blinking and after some time (I used the truck for couple of days before service) the check engine light appear.

From the forum, I found the ABS/Speed sensor was faulty. The resistance test fail. (should be 1000-2500kiloohm). After changed new sensor, the ABS and brake light goes off. However the check engine still appear!
How to reset this?

you could take it to your local auto parts store and they have a hand held code reader and they can delete the code, if in fact its even 100% taken care of.

There are 2 sensors, one sits on the read end housing which this is where the speedo is read, there is also another one on the side of the tranny. Both of these sensors is about $60 from the dealer. More than likely, the sensor on your rear end has gone out or is dirty. It is a magnetic which reads the pinion and determines your speed. Take this out, and clean it off, and put it back in. When mine went off, the actual magnetic part was broken off. A complete flush of the rear end is necessary, unless you want metal fragments floating around:P

Hi guys,
I drove the truck ignoring the check engine error. After about 10 miles, its goes off automatically. Good.
The faulty sensor for my truck is at rear axle. I replaced replaced the sensor cost $31.
thank you for the replies.
