Hey guys. i have a 99 dakota 4x4 3.9L v6. I bought this truck back in march and when i bought it off the guy he said that the a/c didnt work. Sooo ive began to try and diagnose what is wrong with it. Ive searched all over the forums for an answer to why it isnt cooling. Ive checked all fuses and relays, ive had the system filled not too long ago as it was a half pound low. ive jumped the low pressure switch....and still nothing. im not getting power to the high pressure switch...causing the compressor to not engage. what could be causing this????

im about to lose my mind. its damn hot outside!

When you turn the fan on, does the fan come on? or does nothing happen?

 

yeah the blower works on all settings
