1st generation to second generation engine swap
Wait for company to ask to fly him somewhere for a week (say, training?), offer to take him to the airport, And pull a 100 hour week. He won't know the difference....hahaah
Put both motors side-by-side on your shop floor. Strip the 94 down to the long block, and then swap everything over from your engine.
A neighbor of mine just swapped engines in his grand am from a same-year lumina in my shop. He didn't listen to me. I ended up with 6 quarts of tranny fluid, a bunch of power steering fluid, a couple gallons of coolant, and some brake fluid all over my garage floor, and the thing wouldn't run.
I made him go back and swap all of the sensors off the grand am motor - since we knew it ran (baaad rod knock). It was much harder after it was all bolted in the car.
