02 3.9 5sp 4X4 LSD NP 233 110k,sons truck.sudden start of a growl above 20 MPH,speed related. disappears with placing in 4WD,even at hiway speeds.jack the rear up,u-joints tight,turn the wheels and hear a clicking in the rear of the transfer case?not sure if output bearing or chain.searching here has brought up the c-clip failures and trans saver.
any other input before I start pulling this apart?
