Default OH CRAP, Transmission problem

My 98 Dakota 5.2 4X4 sat for a month and I jumped in it today and drove it maybe 5 miles, noticed it acted like it was slipping when I stopped and was going real slow. Once at a red light just sitting it lerched like I just put it in gear so I went back to the house. Looks like it leaked some in the driveway so I'm thinking about taking it to the shop. Coming home it shifted fine but I think it might be low, I checked it and it was so foamy I couldn't tell exactly what it had but it looked dirty too. What do you all think?

Foamy generally means there's way too much fluid. the clutch pack drums are sloshing around in the fluid thats overfull, causing it to foam.

On the other side, it could be too low.

Foaming definitely means there's a problem. If it's dirty and foaming i'd highly recommend you take it to a shop. It could be a number of things that could be wrong.
